Tip of the Week: Vehicle Features

By visiting our online shopper here, you can select a number of categories to help find a vehicle suited for you. One of those categories being the features you’d like to have, but what are all of them? To save you time from searching what each of them are, we’ll list them below with a description!

1. All Wheel Drive: The engine will send power to all four tires helping you and the vehicle safely drive on snow and rain covered roads.
2. Adaptive Cruise Control: Like traditional cruise control, but there are sensors to detect if a car in front of you is slowing down and will automatically decrease the speed and increase back to the set speed once the vehicle is out of the way. Be aware of quick braking from the other vehicle as this feature may not detect it right away.
3. Android Auto/Apple Carplay: When either a Android or Apple device is connected through Bluetooth, the car display will act as a controller mimicking the style of your phone.
4. Automatic Climate Control: Rather than constantly adjusting the temperature knobs, you’ll be able to set a preferred temperature and the vehicle sensors will maintain it.
5. Backup Camera: A camera is placed on the vehicles liftgate and when the vehicle is in reverse, the display screen will show what the camera sees. It shows guide lines to help you see how close you are to another object and keep you on track while reversing.
6. Blind Spot Monitors: Sensors in the side mirrors and/or rear bumper detect when vehicles are in your blind spots. When something is detected, there will be either a visual or audible alert to help you from merging into another lane.
7. Bluetooth: Uses radio frequency while being cordless to share data from one thing to another (phone to vehicle). Allows features like hands free calling, texting, music playing, and more.
8. Fog Lights: When on, they are designed to make driving through heavy mist, fog, and snow more visible.
9. Handsfree Liftgate: Open your liftgate with a simple wave of your foot rather than pressing a button. A kick of your foot under the projected logo will open and close your liftgate. You can still use the button on the fob or button on the liftgate to open and close it.
10. Keyless Entry: Don’t worry about taking your keys out to unlock or lock the vehicle. Upon walking up to the vehicle with your key fob on you, a simple press of the handle button, the vehicle will unlock and lock depending on what you want to do.
11. Lane Departure Warning: When leaving a lane, an alert by either audio or visual will warn you that you’re going into another lane or off the road.
12. Lane Keep Assist: Helps you return to the lane if you happen to start drifting out of it.
13. Navigation System: An on-screen app containing maps helping you get from one place to another or detecting where you are.
14. Parking Sensors/Assist: When parking, this feature detects any objects in your path and will alert you if there are.
15. Power Seats: Seats adjustments are controlled by an electronic switch rather than a lever.
16. Rain Sensing Wipers: When the wipers sense rain, they will activate and determine a speed depending on the amount of rain it detects.
17. Remote Start: Starts your vehicle from afar for the benefit of either heating it up in cold weather or cooling it down warm weather.
18. Satellite Radio Ready: Access to Sirius XM radio.
19. Sport Touring: Designed for long distances at high speeds.
20. Sunroof/Moonroof: A leakproof window on the roof that can slide open to see the sky.
21. Tow Package: Includes a tow hitch, electrical connections, upgraded suspension and brakes that helps maintain the drivetrain and the transmission.
22. Wireless Phone Charging: Cordless charging of a supported device.
23. Xenon Headlights: Lights up more of the road with a whitish-blue light. .
